Welcome to Brighton Bun's

The beginnings of my romance with cakes began when I was a child, watching my mum from a very early age mixing up wonderful cakes on a Sunday afternoon. By the age of eleven I was a confident baker and could produce cakes and desserts knowing the recipes of by heart. During the famous May Brighton festival, a school friend and me ran a very successful tea and cake stall in the garden of a 5 ways artist open house. 

This opens my eyes to the world of catering, and when it was time to enrol in college catering was my first choice. I loved the courses and after completing the 3 year course I worked in various restaurants and cafes across Brighton. 

It was during these long hours at work that I dreamed of creating cakes like no other. Cakes made of only the finest ingredients; glorious fluffy sponge layers sealed together with rich homemade fruit jams. Cupcakes busting with flavour topped with a layer of sweet butter cream icing, finished with handmade sugar flowers and sweet decorations. And of course not forgetting the traditional afternoon tea served on traditional bone china cups and saucers, with crisp linen tablecloths.

It wasn’t until the birth of my second son that this dream and Brighton Bun's was born.

Whether you are celebrating a wedding, birthday, christening or corporate event, here at Brighton Bun's, I can create a cake that suits the occasion and which tastes as good as it looks. All my cakes are made to order in my special kitchen using my own recipes and the finest quality ingredients, delicious dark chocolate and moist vanilla sponge and traditional rich fruit cake.
